Burger was decent. I got the house burger (basically just with house sauce rather than mayo) with bacon and cheese. The bun was nice and light and the bacon was on the crunchy side of crispy, if a little thin, but it worked. Fries were crispy. Service and ambience were unremarkable, but not objectionable.

Nice little spot. Quick service. Clean. Food and price is pretty decent. Pretty underrated spot. I love their big ol' ice cream cone tower

Great customer service. Delicious burgers. Happy hour 2p-5p as of today $12 burger, fries and drinks. We'll be coming back.

A great burger at a very reasonable price! Well definitely keep coming back here. The bread is choice- yum - crispy/flaky. The burger was tasty and the toppings were tasteful. Nothing greasy/soggy. The serving team was nice and pleasant and the inside has plenty of clean seating.

The burger was so moist and favorable. That BigE sauce is the truth!!! Haven't had a fresh non greasy hamburger in the area in awhile and will be coming back The ordering process was great. The guy was patient and gave recommendations Even the bathroom was CLEAN!!! Love that for them

BigE Burgers opened where The Damel & Subway was. infrastructure reduced to simple ordering counter & large inside seating area. offerings: Burgers (Veggie, Turkey, Impossible, Fish), Chicken items, drinks, shakes, desserts, sides, baskets (fish, chicken)... upon ordering at counter, food appears in 10ish minutes ready to be picked up. self service condiments, utensils are at displays near front window. smiling associates standing by to render promptly any services needed. eats: 1/2# Big E burger (10.50) with lettuce, tomato, raw onions, big E sauce or other sauces. -100% Angus Beef antibiotics and hormone free. can be ordered medium rare. medium well is the standard. -burger had lots of juices from the rareness, creating a soggy mess dissolving the buns. best not eaten while driving or moving. -bite of burger had a nice texture save for the chewiness of the meat. chewiness didn't detract from the unami burger experience -the BigE sauce isn't my fav, preferred dijon mustard instead. take outs: 4.5 stars: -BigE resembles a Beep's Burger as there's a common owner. -definitely my fave burger not from a gourmet eatery. -parking isn't easy. most patrons are from nearby offices..

My office is next to this spot and it's been on my mind to visit one of these days. That day was today and I arrived at around 12:30 and noticed a large group seated inside of about 20. That really should have been a sign to leave because they didn't have their food yet, but there wasn't a line so I placed my order and waited, unfortunately for about 30 minutes, so definitely not the quick lunch I was expecting but my fault for not calling ahead for takeout. I took my order back to the office and pleased with how everything was packaged. Even though it's more waste I did appreciate that the burger didn't get smashed in transit. The fries are good, not the best curly fries I've had but they definitely had flavor and there's a lot of them. After reading all of the reviews, I was expecting a lot from the burger but in my opinion it was just fine. I'm not sure if the sauce was too overpowering, because it had a pretty nondescript taste, but I felt like I couldn't taste the patty at all, I just knew it was there. As I was waiting I saw a lot of other orders go out and the chicken nuggets looked good, so I might try those or a chicken sandwich on a next visit, but I wouldn't recommend them based on the burger alone.

Sometimes you just want a tasty burger and garlic fries and this place sure knows how to whip them up! Thanks to Cheryl M. for your helpful review! The place seemed newish and I had it bookmarked for a while until my burger craving got the best of me. Came on a Wednesday, crowd was minimal, staff was friendly, inside was clean and inviting with some table and counter seating. Menu had variety, but not overwhelmingly so- I decided to go with a 1/4 pounder with cheddar, grilled mushrooms and garlic fries. Holy cow - their garlic fries are huge! They were also deliciously crispy and flavorful but I definitely needed someone else to share them with me. The burger was also really yummy. The fluffy brioche bun made it more "gourmet," the patty and mushrooms were seasoned and cooked well, lettuce and tomato were fresh, and the Big Em sauce was flavorful. I'd definitely return to try the other items- fried chicken sandwich and curly fries are next on my list!

A super delicious burger place located in Downtown Oakland! Menu is simple with burger size options, choice of protein: beef, chicken, turkey, fish along with an Impossible plant-based burger served with house mayo (mmm...garlic mayo! Love!) or BigE sauce (similar to a Thousand Island) with add ons. After taking the first bite, I knew this would be my new burger spot! Flavorful, juicy, cooked with a nice outer sear. I get the usual with added Swiss and sautéed mushrooms, cooked medium rare which came out perfectly...I like that they have French fry options: basic, steak cut (yes, please!), garlic, curly fries, sweet potato and onion rings! Hey options are good :) Place is very familiar and what came to mind was Beep's Burger *tear* I remember loving their house sauce of garlic mayo and juicy burgers...hmmm... whether (or not) the same (menu looks it), BIgE really hit the spot and will definitely return! BigE is about a month new so no large crowds (yet!) but can see this being a hot spot as burgers are delicious and items are reasonably priced. Staff is super friendly, efficient and welcoming. The woman who helped me was very accommodating, read my order back (sans a tomato) and split my burger upon my request which is truly appreciated. I do hope they do well as a nice addition to the area. Especially, with many closed businesses and area being a little questionable in the evening. Located right off the 12th Street BART Station. Street parking available on the side streets.
